Developed a strong understanding of the entire company’s operation by following a curriculum designed to impart knowledge of Raw and Packaging material handling, Production planning and implementation, Processing and Packaging operations, Quality control/assurance, Finished goods handling and warehousing and Engineering operations which includes; Familiarity with the components and principle of operation of all Tetra-pak machines including the A1 TCA and TFA lines, A3 speed, A3 flex and A3 compact flex lines and the Distribution equipment like Cap applicator, Straw applicator, Cardboard packer, Tray shrink and Line controller. Performing daily care (24 hours) and weekly care (120 hours) preventive maintenance activities on all Tetra-pak Filling and DE according to the designed checklists across the facility. Performing breakdown maintenance on machines as quickly as possible to return the machine back on stream. Reading all machine manuals including the Spare part catalogue (SPC), Operator manual (OM), Maintenance manual (MM), Electrical manual (EM) to better identify faults and aid maintenance process. Familiarity with the different PLC software including Simatic manager, TIA portal, RS Linx, RS Logix and Studio 5000. Understanding of some of the different PLC communication protocols like the Profibus, Profinet, Devicenet, Ethernet, Multi-point interface and Sercos. Developing a working knowledge of the principle of operation of various components like servo motors and drives, encoders, sensors, level switches, ASI and more. Troubleshooting on electrical panels, motors, pumps and pneumatic systems across the work facility. Building, Installation and Maintenance of low voltage control panels. Reading Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic diagrams. Regular maintenance of all electrical panels across the facility to increase equipment reliability and efficiency.
