Hired the Country Manager for New Zealand and Indonesia and worked with them till they took over all responsibilities.Grew the combined monthly revenue of Indonesia and NZ, from USD 60,000 to USD 130,000 in the 8 months I owned the P&L.Restructured the Philippines and NZ team to cut costs and improve culture and performance. Got NZ operations to break-even and grow profitably from there on.Led the implementation of Project Surge, our new ad inventory platform, in Indonesia and NZ.

Set up the Delta team, the purpose of which was to launch new businesses that will drive significant revenue in 4-5 years.Led the launch of 2 new businesses - Zomato Infrastructure Services (ZIS) and Zomato GoldHired the Business Head for ZIS and worked with him and the team to launch our first kitchen in Dwarka. The kitchen was operationally profitable within 3 months of launch.Led the team for launch of Zomato Gold, a subscription based business, in UAE and Portugal. The product was launched in 4 months with over 600 partner merchants.

Worked closely with the co-founder to set up the Sales Strategy team and take up several projects to increase global revenue. Some projects included:Build CRM system for the 1500 strong sales team. After evaluating multiple proposals, led the engineering team that built an in-house, mobile-first CRM.Build Training plans and processes for the global sales team. Built a 4-week calendar along with documentation for each training sessions. Evaluated possibility of external trainers and implementation of a Learning Management System.Build Sales Tech team within the Engineering team. Led the team to build an ad inventory platform and automated performance reports.Set up a Sales Support team to manage after-sales process, which was currently done by the sales team. A team of over 40 people was set up in less than 3 months.

Set up Zomato’s presence in Auckland and WellingtonHired the initial team of 5 people to kick start operations. Grew the team from 5 to 30 in a year which included people in operations, content, sales and marketing.Led the Area Sales Managers to train the sales team and acquire clients for Zomato’s advertising services. In the span of 1 year we acquired over 300 clients.Led the PR and Marketing efforts. Reached out to journalists and reporters to get us featured in the prominent publications of New Zealand.Initiated and led the million dollar acquisition of Menumania, the first for Zomato.

Conceptualised, set up and launched PowerPlay Sports Bar in Gurgaon. Raised capital from banks and private investors. Hired a manager, chef and the operational staff.Organised over 20 events ranging from live bands, comedy and karaoke nights.Managed operations for over 15 months and reached operational break-even.
