I am a development professional, trained in economics and public policy, with a keen focus on gender, public health, and human rights. I have worked in the civil society sector on issues of sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equity, adolescent development and youth leadership, and technology and innovations for health and development. Through my work, I have supported and led research and learning, policy analysis, and strategy review and development. I have worked at national, regional and global levels through roles and engagements with the International Centre for Research on Women (Asia), CREA, Quicksand Design, the David & Lucile Packard Foundation (South Asia), Young Experts: Tech 4 Health, Transformhealth, Principles for Digital Development (DIAL/UNF), and the Partnership for Maternal Newborn and Child Health (PMNCH). Program Management & Strategy- Led a project on design and development of a 360 approach to enhancing the reach and effectiveness of the National Adolescent Health Mission’s program and services in Madhya Pradesh, India. The project involved ethnographic research with adolescents and landscape analyses of socio-ecological contexts, to inform design of solutions across various channels of delivery (physical and communication resources, service enhancements, technology platforms) to improve awareness and access to comprehensive youth-friendly health services for adolescents and young people.- Led a project to design intervention solutions for post-Medical Abortion contraceptive uptake amongst low parity couples in Uttar Pradesh, India. The project conducted extensive field research, stakeholder assessment, user journey maps, analysis of channels of information and influence – to develop a suite of intervention solutions to be pilot tested in the state.Technology for Development- Managed a multi-partner consortium project, funded by the David & Lucile Packard Foundation and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, with the aim to develop knowledge resources and actionable frameworks/guidelines to inform the conceptualisation, design, implementation and evaluations of digital media and technology based interventions for adolescent and youth development, and public health.- The resulting framework (Platform Journey Framework) is a guide on the use of technology platforms and digital media to reach young people, give them platforms and skills to represent their causes, and capture impact and evidence. The framework recognises offerings and concerns in the current context of new and emerging technologies, such as rich media (AR/VR), artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics, in affecting social and behavioural change.

The SGRI is a discourse deepening institute on intersectional issues of gender, sexuality, health and human rights, and their interface with socio- cultural, legal and policy issues.
