Broadly I am interested in cloud-scale systems design with particular interest in elastic bare-metal infrastructure. During my Ph.D., I have led, collaborated, and made solo contributions towards architecture designing and prototype implementation of multiple distributed systems. Some projects resulted in publications and were adopted in the industry.

Everyday is new here. One day we are looking at network design and switch configuration while on other day we troubleshoot issues on a Petascale Storage. From establishing single user authentication system using OpenLdap to handling SuperCompute Multinode Clusters and everything in between.It is not a Job. It is fun and adventure everyday..!!-- Administer and maintain HPC (ICE- cluster system from SGI) including operating systems, clustered filesystems, storage, networking and other system software.-- Role includes Monitoring, diagnosis and troubleshooting of system/software faults in HPC systems including interfacing HPC with external storage, services.-- Customizing, extending open source software to match in-house requirements. -- Coding new solutions (php, bash, and python) when required. -- Capacity planning and proactive management of storage. Planning and execution of regular system upgrade, patch management of all IT infrastructures.-- Configuration, management and troubleshooting of various network services like LDAP, samba, DNS, FTP, DHCP etc.-- Coordinating with vendors for troubleshooting systems and services. -- Authoring, editing and dissemination of knowledge of best practices, SOP and information required for users.

Provide timely status updates to relevant parties. --Conduct root cause analysis & implement pro-active measures. Monitor effectiveness of implemented measures.--Manage systems changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties. Plan & carry out tasks to roll out changes to the systems. --Monitor & measure the performance & availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve performance & availability. --Monitor the agreed service level, document & maintain the configuration of the systems; provide regular reporting to relevant parties. --Implement service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business. --Provide systems related technical support & advice to customers or project team.
