Responsible for making sure that Supply Chain teams are working to the best possible processes, with the best possible systems, creating a slick and innovative Supply Chain. Finding ways to work better (from a minor process change, right up to the implementation of a new system), identifying and reviewing available options to make improvements. Presenting the information to stakeholders to reach consensus on the most beneficial option to implement, and successfully project managing the end-to-end delivery.

Admittedly a slightly misleading or confusing job title that becomes clearer when I explain that in Screwfix the word 'event' relates to the quarterly catalogues, monthly flyers, sales, promotions and online activity that require support from the supply chain. And that's where my role comes in ... a new role for the company, it's my job to ensure that we plan effectively to enable us to have the right stock in the right places at the right time. The role is very varied as all of the events layer on top of each other, so I've found my PMO background invaluable - it's like managing a portfolio of small projects. My operational management experience has been helpful, too, as I liase with colleagues at various levels within the business, and in several different departments, including commercial planning, marketing, web trading, warehousing and logistics.

Responsible for business design of membership management system (Members First) relating to the following functional areas: member change, loyalty programme ('First Club'), website and contact centre (iContact integration).Also responsible for the operations manual for Members First.

Responsible for training out new systems and processes, predominantly working alongside project teams to deliver business change.

I work as a Continuous Improvement Manager for a large chocolate manufacturer. This role includes managing improvement projects and change initiatives as well as problem solving, analysis and reporting and SAP systems support. I work with all areas of the business including sales, order-to-cash, supply chain, logistics, operations, purchasing, finance, operations, production, quality, engineering and maintenance. Much of my work also includes working in partnership with customers and suppliers.Most recent achievements include: - Managing the UK's involvement in a group-wide international SAP systems upgrade- A third party warehouse and logistics implementation and integration project, taking our business into Eire- Installation of a new time and attendance system for the UK operation, with a longer term view of integration with HR, payroll and business systems at a Group level- Scoping of a CMS system for the UK maintenance department
