Abdulla Sahwan is the Principal Attorney of SAS Law. He obtained his LL.B in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of Sussex, England. He has been involved in a number of multi-billion-dollar transactions, both domestically and regionally, where he has advised in a wide variety of capacities though his boutique law firm. Sahwan advantage stems from his exposure to mega international deals through his involvement with international firms, in addition to local experience attained from managing SAS Law, where he successfully grew and expanded the law firm to be one of the largest the country, with representations throughout the GCC region. Moreover, through vertical integration and specialized skills, Sahwan is entrusted by many of the regional predominant companies and high net-worth individuals in matters of great complexity and concern; where he demonstrated his ability to utilize skills and resources to present atypical solutions that generates high value for his clients. In addition to his prominence as a legal figure in the country, Sahwan also is involved in several corporations in directorship, managerial or advisory roles within his competence as a service provider. This includes involvement in service and consultancy firms, foreign investment representations, asset management (as manager and trustee), tech businesses (such as fintech and cryptocurrency) and other professional services. Such areas benefit from his strong ability to identify risks, whether legal, operational, corporate governance and compliance risks, as well lay down strategies that incorporates both commercial and legal elements to maximize success.Sahwan has also other capacities such as: (i) Licensed Private Notary as one of the few authorised notaries with official government seal; (ii) Licensed International Arbitrator with GCCAC and a member of CIArB; (iii) Licensed Professional Body with the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism;(iv) Prominent Negotiator and Mediator for high value commercial transaction and legal disputes; and(v) Authorised representative of state-owned companies & state interest.Sahwan is also involved in other public, social and professional roles, including: (i) Bahrain Bar Society (SAS as a founding member);(ii) MPs and Chamber of Commerce (Advisor to MPs & BoD);(iii) Owners Associations (Involved with nation’s first Main and Central Associations and related regulations);(iv) Bahrain Sports Association (Appointed as Manager Director of Etihad Club); and(v) Bahrain Child Development Society (SAS as a founding member).
