As an Undergraduate Research Developer at NOVA, I am dedicated to advancing the autonomous capabilities of Hail-Bopp, our self-driving vehicle. My work involves leveraging ROS2 and Docker to ensure efficient communication and integration among the vehicle's autonomous components, driving the system's overall effectiveness. This role allows me to deepen my expertise in both the software and hardware aspects of autonomous systems, contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions.Currently, I am developing a brake light classifier feature that uses LiDAR and YOLOv7 object detection to identify and analyze car tail lights in various conditions. By integrating NVIDIA CUDA and cuDNN libraries, I am optimizing the performance of the YOLOv7 model, allowing for efficient GPU acceleration and fast, accurate inference. Leveraging these tools alongside AI and Machine Learning techniques in computer vision, I am building a robust model that determines brake light status in real-time, enhancing the vehicle's decision-making processes, improving safety, and enabling it to adapt to complex driving environments.

Under the Artificial Intelligence Mentorship (AIM) Program, as a mentee, I am currently developing MedVisor: an AI-driven solution for the detection and classification of lumbar spine degenerative diseases from MRI scans. My team is planning to employ a U-Net model for image segmentation, specifically designed to identify intervertebral discs (IVD) within the lumbar spine. Following segmentation, a ResNet50 model will classify various degenerative diseases, including Modic changes, UP endplate defects, LOW endplate defects, Spondylolisthesis, Disc herniation, Disc narrowing, and Disc bulging for each IVD. By using these deep learning techniques, we plan on streamlining the medical diagnostic process, enhancing early detection and precision in lumbar spine health assessments, to ultimately improve patient outcomes.

As a tutor for CE 2310 - Introduction to Digital Systems at the University of Texas at Dallas, I assist students in understanding the fundamental concepts of digital circuits and hardware structures that are essential for modern computer systems. This course covers key topics such as internal data representation, arithmetic operations, basic logic circuits, and MIPS assembly language, along with an overview of computer architecture.In my role, I facilitate study sessions, provide guidance on laboratory exercises, and help students develop a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of digital systems. I apply my knowledge of high-level programming languages such as C++ and Java to support students in applying their learning effectively. My involvement with IEEE UTD enhances my commitment to promoting educational excellence in the field of computer engineering.

As President of UTDesign Makerspace, I manage and oversee all officer roles, ensuring seamless coordination and planning of STEM activities. I lead strategic initiatives, foster a collaborative and innovative environment, and ensure our makerspace remains a vibrant hub for creativity and interdisciplinary projects. My role involves organizing events, facilitating workshops, and promoting engagement within the STEM community.

I had the opportunity to work on backend in designing the mobile application, SpeakWise: an app that prepares users with public speaking skills and improves their chance to ace their next interview. I worked on user authentication with Firebase and implementing OpenAI into our application.

I collaborated in launching a nonprofit organization with the mission to empower students in developing third-world countries, such as India, to engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) activities. Our goal is to inspire young minds and provide them with the resources and opportunities to explore and innovate within the STEM fields.I led efforts to coordinate with team members across the globe and collaborated with university professors from renowned institutions, including The University of Waterloo and The University of Buffalo. Together, we organized STEM guest speaker events and hands-on initiatives aimed at raising awareness of the practical applications of STEM education and inspiring students to pursue careers in these fields.

I played a key role in supporting middle and high school students in their mathematical studies. My responsibilities included providing personalized tutoring, assisting with curriculum delivery, and fostering a positive learning environment. I collaborated with lead teachers to develop lesson plans and offered one-on-one guidance to help students grasp complex concepts and improve their problem-solving skills.
