Hi there, my name is Saidee Gamez and I am currently looking for an entry-level or internship position in the Health and Behavioral Sciences field within Orange County or Los Angeles County focused on the Behavioral Sciences and/or Counseling and Psychological Services division.I am a Senior at California State University, Long Beach where I am majoring in Human Development and plan to graduate in December, 2023.Currently holding a 4.0 GPA, I have excelled in the studies of Human Development and have been awarded Presidents List for outstanding academic excellence for Spring 2022 and Fall 2022.I have also been involved on campus in a number of activities that showcase my initiative and passion for community, including a peer mentoring program that offers students a new way to connect with other students for emotional support and mental health resources at my university. As a contributing club program member to the Beach Buddies program, I attend and contribute to group discussions that work to cultivate safe spaces to educate the campus on suicide prevention through trainings, and have been featured within the monthly electronic campus newspaper Project OCEAN to which I attended while studying at Long Beach State within my Junior-year.As a believer in learning by doing, I plan to spend the following Fall semester after graduation in Orange County at the Chapman University's Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences in their intensive 10 month Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program which focuses in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD), an Extended Education program.
