I hold a PhD in animal breeding and genetics since 2011. I have experience and interest in a broad range of activities related to genetic improvement of performance, health, and welfare of livestock animals and aquaculture species using AI and Social network analysis. During my career, I worked on both quantitative and molecular genetics, and their application in animal breeding at 9 different research organizations in the UK, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Egypt. Over 20 years of research and development experience; my primary interests include analysing phenotypic and genomic data of different animal species (Fish, Pigs, Cattle, Buffalo, Sheep, Goat, and Rabbits), using Bayesian and Frequentist statistics; beside working in molecular genetics laboratories. Furthermore, I have experience in designing and management of research grants and joint projects. Beside my research activities, I speak 4 languages fluently (English, Spanish, Italian, and Arabic), which facilitate my communication with research teams and stakeholders from different backgrounds.
