With academic qualification of Master of Technology (MTech) in Energy Engineering, I bring over 9 years of experience in decarbonization, embodied energy accounting, energy efficiency, sustainability, and policy advocacy in built environment across India. My work spans energy and comfort optimization using advanced simulations, green building design, and contributing to projects that promote decarbonization, sustainability, energy-efficiency and climate-responsiveness in built environment.Currently working as a Manager of Climate Policy, Sustainability and Scientific tools at GEED and having been certified IGBC AP and GRIHA CP professional, I lead initiatives including policy advocacy for building energy conservation at both the central and state levels. I have worked closely with Government bodies in states like Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal to implement Energy Conservation Building Codes (ECBC) as well as Eco-Niwas Samhita (ENS), drive thermal comfort optimization in EWS housing under GIZ and LHP program, and delivered more than 100 capacity-building programs to stakeholders from Government bodies, NPOs, private practitioners, builders, contractor as well as academia in the sustainability domain. My core expertise includes investment grade and optimization-oriented model development and simulations including compliance prescriptions for ECBC, GRIHA, IGBC and LEED standards, as well as developing innovative and AI driven Scientific tools and mobile applications for benchmarking energy performance, one of the prominent examples is the ECBC App, available on the Google Play Store.I specialize in tools such as EnergyPlus, DesignBuilder, OpenModelica and Rhino + Grasshopper frameworks to deliver the objectives. Beyond technical projects, I also manage large-scale development and maintenance of IT frameworks and tools, such as the BEE supported Eco-NIWAS website, ENS compliance tools and many more under TERI, GRIHA, UNDP, SDC and GIZ initiatives. I’m passionate about using technology and data-driven models to make impactful, sustainable changes in the built environment.
