We offer best-in-class OLAP performance for streaming relational, graph, and geospatial use-cases.As Director of ML Engineering, I’m leading Product Design and Engineering efforts for our Machine Learning product “Active Analytics Workbench.” I was brought in to help define the firm’s AI and ML product line, build the team, lead the build out of our product, and partner across our organization to help the sales and adoption of our product (Product, Marketing, Sales, Pre-Sales, Professional Services.)The small-firm setting has allowed me the opportunity to also be a core Engineering contributor. I lead the research, examination, and eventual integration/bundling of Kubernetes, TensorFlow, KubeFlow, RAPIDS, and other components. We built our product to leverage Kinetica’s DB product and offer capabilities unique in the crowded marketplace: multi-node distributed model training co-located with our multi-node DB, zero-egress ML feature preparation using OLAP, and multi-node inference co-located with our DB for low-egress high-throughput use-cases.I work frequently with our field teams to get ground-level feedback and work with our Product team to incorporate these into the roadmap and development lifecycle. I’ve represented our company and product for sales (as required), at conferences, and with partners. I often help with customer engagements in Financial Services and the US Intelligence Community.Our product is used in Production on several continents, for Enterprise-class use-cases involving streaming inputs, petabyte-scale data, Fortune 50 customers, data-center and edge settings.

Focused full-time on envisioning, developing, testing, and scaling field-capable Machine Learning models for medical image classification used for read prioritization, triage, and workflow. I'm leading a business and technology team combing through a constant stream of research, evaluating new options, and overseeing implementation of new approaches using TensorFlow and H2O across a distributed training environment.This is not just with academic benchmarks – we use real patient data and have built a scalable, distributed processing environment to support a 20TB+ training dataset on a massive local NVIDIA training grid we maintain. I’m directing the required architecture and team setup for our firm's innovation efforts and ultimately own all models and architecture. I’m working with research, development and Technology Transfer personnel towards commercialization of the DocHuddle Platform (see: www.dochuddle.com), amongst other projects. I am also helping lead the build-out of a corporate innovation function and establishing delivery pathways for realizing R&D efforts into usable and marketable prototypes at our host hospital. Finally, I’m helping establish and nurture research collaborations with Sidra Medicine, QCRI, Weill Cornell Medical Center, and Carnegie Mellon University.

Lead a strategic, company-wide global programme to unify investment analytics across all asset classes. Lead technical and quantitative build-out of our wide-scale, model-driven real estate investment portfolio ($150B AUM of RMBS/CMBS/Direct.) Directed development of a single integrated firmwide flow to unify various investment processes into a single platform for risk management, alpha generation and financial reporting. This included implementing, tuning, owning, and operating all models critical for Counterparty Risk, Market Risk, Asset Pricing, Stress Testing, and Strategic Asset Allocation (RiskWatch, PolyPaths, INTEX, LPRM, Trepp, QuantLib) and data sources (Bloomberg, MarkIt, POINT, SuperDerivatives.) Maintained all vendor relationships and drove our firm priorities.Personally prototyped and lead a team of quants and analysts examining the appropriateness and correctness of external products for potential integration onto our stack. This included simulations with stress inputs injected four model layers deep against all the models+submodels I previously built. Prototyped all scenario generation vendor models with aggregation models in Python using numpy, pandas, and six vendor libraries.

Drove the creation of a centralized derivatives valuation and analytics service for Credit Default Swaps, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX Derivatives and eventually almost all assets. Coordinated the strategic firm-wide trade and valuations flows associated with this service. Hired and built up a team to operate this service day to day.Eventually responsible for all planning, strategy, and business analysis for the firm's consolidation of OTC derivatives onto a central trading/valuations platform. Managed a team to enable deal valuations/analytics, model validation, operational automation and trading system capabilities to support deal flow. Assisted on strategy work involved with AIG Divestiture efforts, derivatives restructuring, subsidiary wind-down efforts, and firm-wide consolidation.
