 UMTS PLT lead for all legacy (R99/R5/R6) and new features in (R7/R8/R9/R10): Responsibilities include leading the WPLT team for most comprehensive and effective physical layer validation/verification of all Qualcomm chipsets supporting all different feature sets in different UMTS released standards. Detail test planning for all the legacy and new features including CPC DTX/DRX, DC-HSDPA, MIMO featuring Cat20 and Multi-cell, HS-RACH, HS-FACH etc., adding automation support for all the new features in Qualcomm test-bench, monitoring coverage and performance metrics regularly, prioritizing and assigning issues to resolve and making sure committed timelines are met are some of the responsibilities.  Detailed validation/verification of lots of Qualcomm proprietary performance enhancing, power optimizing features. The process involves many rounds of extensive debug efforts in FW/SW/Systems domain. Co-ordinate with FW/SW/Systems team leads and most effective resource planning to guarantee timely execution and delivery. UMTS New Feature Emulation lead: Often times for faster time to market and to eliminate the risks of new design, Emulation (pre-silicon verification) is done on FPGA based platform before Chip-on-Doc (COD). Responsibilities include detail planning and validation/verification of the high risk newly designed blocks/features of the end-to-end system during pre-silicon phase.  Work in close cooperation with Systems/FW/SW teams, defining requirements for detail system level verification, logging, debug interfaces, discuss with third party vender (Agilent/Anritsu) with internal requirements and timeline so that integration with the vendor equipment can be done at the earliest.  Supporting various IODT/IOT/OTA for new features: Support various IODT/IOT/OTA for new features like CPC DTX/DRX, DC-HS, Cat20, Multi-cell MIMO with different infra vendors like Ericsson, Huawei, NSN etc.

 UBM (DVBH/ISDBT) Emulation lead (completed): Led the validation/verification effort of Qualcomm’s first Broadcast Modem (Bigbird) featuring (DVB-H/ISDB-T) in the emulation phase. Responsibilities included efficient planning and coordination between Systems/FW/SW/HW groups, sketching out detailed test plans including all the corner cases, generating test vectors, defining log packets, leading effort in crating stable and user-friendly automation platform, and detailed execution and debugging of most comprehensive verification in digital baseband (I/Q), to RxFE digital Y1Y2, and to RxRF domain. Because of this extensive pre-silicon testing, successful demo was possible in three weeks from chip in doc. 1xEVDV (Rev-C/D) Emulation lead (completed): Led the effort in emulation of Qualcomm’s MSM series to support cdma200 Rev-C/D. Completed initial level of verification before the project was cancelled by Qualcomm’s decision of not supporting Rev-C. Wrote many contributions towards the development of the standards.
