• The novelty of this project was to design and assemble the movement mechanism for an X-ray phantom. This phantom was designed with the intention of mimicking anatomy typically observed in dynamic cardiac X-ray imaging.• Involvement in assembling the prototype reference object and testing the integrity of its design; quality assurance to be carried out through certified radiotherapists.• Mechanical and manufacturing engineering techniques, such as 3D printing and CNC milling, were used to produce an advanced X-ray phantom with calibrated movement capabilities.

My role as a Waiter allowed me to be more confident to adapt to unfamiliar situations and gain additional customer service experience. Acquired some vital skills during my time at the restaurant like time management, as well as further develop my understanding on different ways to communicate with customers. Worked with different patients who had difficulties with walking, which included a stroke patient and an amputee. Motion capture technology was used to record the movement of each subject, followed by data being sent to software. Eventually this data was used to determine any abnormalities in gait, which would in turn allow sufficient treatment to be provided to the patients by physiotherapy and rehabilitation. This quantification of movement and biomechanical method helped contribute to understanding walking patterns of different patients, as well as the effect of rehabilitation interventions.
