As the founder, CEO, and Senior Gender Equality Advisor of Development Impact Solutions (DIS), I lead a consulting firm registered in both Canada and Pakistan, focused on advancing gender equality, human rights, and sustainable development. My role encompasses strategic leadership, consultancy, and research management across a wide range of thematic areas with a strong gender lens. I work closely with international development partners and have successfully executed projects both in Pakistan and remotely across Africa. Additionally, I manage a dedicated team of five staff specializing in research, operations, and finance.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership and Firm Development: Spearheaded the establishment of DIS, overseeing its growth and operations to address complex gender and social inclusion challenges for diverse clients.Consulting and Advisory Services: Provide gender and human rights advisory services for high-impact programs, contributing expertise in policy analysis, program evaluation, and capacity building.Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses on gender dynamics, migration, forced labor, and health to inform evidence-based policies and programs.Project and Team Management: Lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consultancy services, ensuring effective project management, timely deliverables, and client satisfaction.Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy: Engage with government, UN agencies, INGOs, and local NGOs to promote inclusive policies and strategies aligned with global standards.
