Starting my career as a banker seems suits to my education background and my passion in dealing with people. However, as I grew my network, I was landed with an opportunity to explore the learning and development area. To be specific, it was focusing on the continuous improvement initiatives. This has tremendously switch my view and skills in communicating and dealing with people as I was required to understand the needs of my audience as well as able to drive the team in implementing the initiatives. Certainly, this role has improve my skills not only in communicating with people but also my ability in critical thinking. Subsequent to that, I was given an opportunity to be part of the audit team where the focus was to assess the viability of business direction and practices. As the business activities in the organisation that I'm attached with consisted of several sectors, it has given me with a great exposure especially when I have to deal with my counterpart from Asean country. Again, this was an eye opener to me as it provides me with a new perspective from business stand point. Obviously this role has sharpen my competency in business acumen.I am grateful as my previous experience has helped me in performing my current role as an Assistant Manager in Strategic Planning and Performance at Cyberview.
