I progressed to Smart management for the entire East African market, conducting market research to define requirements for each country and designing solutions to fit all markets. I negotiated cost-effective contracts with VAS providers, preparing marketing plans for each product and working with technical teams to configure products and run full commercial tests prior to launch. I met business objectives, managing product delivery and co-ordinating between three SMART branches (Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi) to ensure effective product performance.Key Accomplishments:• Aligned product profile between three markets, customising fit for each market; this led to increase in business solution revenue contribution to overall revenue from 1% to 3%.• Led and coached team of as many as 55 employees, mentoring and developing staff to move from trainee positions to manager in many instances.• Maintained 20% of market share in spite of stiff competition (four operators fighting for 2.5 million subscribers).
