During my clinical placement as a Trainee Clinical Psychologist, I gained hands-on experience working with children diagnosed with various psychological and developmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other childhood mental health conditions.My responsibilities included conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions. I worked closely with children and their families, providing support and guidance to enhance their psychological well-being and developmental progress.Through this placement, I developed a deep understanding of child psychology and the unique challenges faced by children with developmental and mental health disorders. I also collaborated with multidisciplinary teams, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and special education professionals, to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to care.This experience has significantly enriched my skills in clinical practice, assessment, and intervention, and reinforced my commitment to improving the mental health and quality of life for children and their families.

The Edge Foundation is a humanitarian organization running a Women’s Empowerment. In Women Empowerment Project, The Edge Foundation provides services of free Psychological, social, educational, and economical support to the victims of domestic abuse.My responsibility includes:• Empowering women psychologically through the Counselling process.• Working on building their self-esteem and self-efficacy by focusing on how they see themselves.• Promoting women's sense of self-worth, their ability to determine their own choices, and their right to influence social change for themselves and others.

During my traineeship, I have been exposed to different departments & units of hospital, which include; - Female Rehabilitation unit.- Male Rehabilitation Unit.- Addiction & Narcotics Control Units.I have learned; - Psychological Assessments (MMSE, Behavioral Observation etc).- Conduct Therapies (Group therapies, Relaxation Training, Art & Music Therapy, Behavior Therapies) Collaborated with other professional Psychiatrists & Psychologists to plan, manage, and assess patient treatments in the severe units.
