Project: Metrolinx, Aurora GO Station Construction; Mile 29.17-30.25, Aurora, Ontario. 2023 – Present, $75 MILLION (CONTRACT VALUE). To meet the demands of the growing population, Metrolinx is building in and around Aurora to provide residents with more connections and better service. The construction to improve Aurora GO Station to accommodate more service and better customer access is underway. The improvements include-constructing a second platform, installing a second track, adding approximately 380 new parking spaces, upgrading rail signal, building a new pedestrian tunnel with elevators, installing edge tactile tile on the existing east platform for improved accessibility. Responsibilities: As the Construction Inspector, Manmohan is responsible for supervising the civil, electrical, and structural construction activities and ensuring contract drawings and specifications are followed, verifying the quality of work, maintain detailed and accurate logs of progress, preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly progress report to the client. Additionally, Manmohan is responsible for verifying the Contractors’ efforts and materials for any additional work outside of the original scope of work, identifying any conflicts that arise on site and is in direct contact with the design team and the client. Manmohan is also involved in verifying and certifying the Contractors’ progress claims of monthly progress payments.

Project: Metrolinx, Construction of Barrie Corridor; Mile 24.60-26.50, King, Ontario. 2021 – 2023, $22 MILLION (CONTRACT VALUE). Responsibilities: As a Construction Inspector, Manmohan responsibility was to inspect work according to the required established frequency to ensure that construction work is performed in accordance with the contract drawings and specifications, as well as with applicable codes and safety regulations, Identifying and advising of non-compliances, Review and interpret contract documents and contract drawings, Coordinate and monitor material testing/quality control program, Keep field diaries recording daily work completed, materials and equipment on site, Monitor environmental compliance, Track and summarize quantities, understand and interpret contract documents, specifications and all other administration related matters to the contract, Liaise with the design engineer and clients for approval of on-site changes.

Project: City of Toronto, Gardiner expressway rehabilitation; section 1-Jarvis to Cherry, Toronto, Ontario. 06 2020 – 08 2020, $248 million (PROJECT VALUE). The project started in 2018 with an expected completion in 2021. The project for city of Toronto includes full superstructure replacement between Cherry Street and Jarvis Street, rehabilitation of three ramps, installation of new street lighting, and a Road Emergency Service Communication Unit (RESCU) system. The strategic plan of the city is to rehabilitate the westbound off-ramp leading to Yonge, Bay and York streets, then replace the entire concrete deck and steel girders of the expressway between Jarvis Street and Cherry Street and finally followed by replacement of the westbound off-ramp at Sherbourne street and the eastbound on-ramp at Jarvis Street. Responsibilities: As a Technologist, Manmohan was responsible to Install and monitor thermocouple system in precast concrete deck panels. Inspect the top, bottom and parapet wall covers of precast bridge deck panels with cover meter.Project: Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Ministry of Transportation Ontario (MTO), 401 Expansion between Credit View & Regional Road 25, Mississauga, Ontario. 06 2020 – 08 2020, $639.8 million (PROJECT VALUE).This project started in fourth quarter 2019 and is estimated to be completed in 2022. Highway 401 expansion project includes 18-kilometer reconstruction and widening in the western part of the GTA along with two 10 lane segments and two 12 lane core collector systems with median HOV lanes. Responsibilities: As a Technologist, Manmohan performed material testing of various construction materials and carried out QC and QA conformances in accordance with contract documents. Reviewed, tracked, and summarized quality assurance non-conformances with appropriate follow-up. Performed geotechnical investigations, kept record of engineered material brought to site and verified that it’s of preapproved standard and origin.

Project: City of Mississauga, GO Torbram Grade Separation, Mississauga, Ontario. 07 2018 – 06 2020, $69 million (PROJECT VALUE). Project was announced in late 2014 to construct an underpass through a grade separation. Project was planned to be completed in May 2017 but due to some reasons it got extended with an increase in cost of $10.8 million in addition to original tender of $67 million. Responsibilities – As a Construction Technologist, Manmohan performed quality assurance and quality control on road, sewer, watermains earth works, pipe bedding and cover for watermains. Gathered and inspected Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) samples, inspected road base, subbase, and subgrade. Prepared daily progress reports for the client (city of Mississauga) and contractor (Aecom). Project: TTC, Roncesvalles Yard, Toronto, Ontario. 07 2018 – 06 2020, $21 million (PROJECT VALUE). The project was awarded to Maystar General Contractors in 2018 with a planned completion in December 2020 for tracks replacement and extensions. Also, some of the overhead doors were upgraded along with one new emergency exit and inspection bay extensions. Responsibilities - Provided inspection service for construction work and material as per the contract between client and contractor. Examined work progress and construction site to verify safety. Maintained daily logs and supplemented inspection records with photographs. Ensured that all environmental compliances and safety protocols are in line with contract documents.
