👋 Hello! I'm Saioa Mendizuri, and I'm passionate about optical microscopy. Over the past 8 years, I've worked in scientific and technical platforms across various research centers, particularly in the Bioimaging field. 🔬 My role involves teaching users and clients how to use magnifying glasses, microscopes, and confocals to capture valuable images for analysis. We often automate this analysis process by creating open-source macros.⏰ One of the most enjoyable aspects of my work is automating image analysis. Programming these macros not only saves time, but also produces accurate, robust, and easily reproducible results. I find great joy in witnessing my clients' surprise and delight as they see a macro working for them. This feeling drives me to explore fields like machine learning, deep learning, and AI. 🚀🧟 I strive to enhance the platforms I work on by introducing new technologies whenever possible. I also love repurposing old microscope parts to create new tools that can impress users. Additionally, I conduct market research to identify which new equipment or technology we can bring to our platform, budget permitting, of course!
