I have trained and worked in both the USA and UK and have worked with people across the life span in health care settings, schools, hospitals and charities with anxiety, panic, depression, low self-esteem, drug addiction, emotional dysregulation, anger, self-harm, post-traumatic stress including flashbacks and dissociation, and/or parenting and family difficulties. I can work with you to understand how you got here and then support you to develop meaningful changes that will help you feel better and develop confidence in how to move forward in a positive direction. My doctorate research and work experiences on recovery after coercive control led to my clinical interest in post-traumatic stress and post-traumatic growth. My training and work experiences includes looking at how society and social context may also have impacted your well-being. I am trained in EMDR, Schema Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapies (MBCT). I draw from the research base and years of clinical experience to inform my mind-body approach to therapeutic work.
