REDX (Re-thinking Engineering Design eXecution) in collaboration with Camera Culture Group and Emerging Worlds SIG, MIT Media Lab and MIT Tata Center for Technology and Design:• Worked on affordable healthcare diagnostic solutions and smart city initiatives in Mumbai and Nashik, India• Developed health and crowd steering solutions impacting over 30 million people, in collaboration with the local government, medical institutions, telecom operators and Kumbhathon Foundation during Kumbha Mela, one of the world’s largest religious congregations, held at Nashik in November 2015• Advised setting up Digital Impact Square (DISQ), a multi-million dollar incubation center in Nashik by TCS. Member of the MIT Hacking Medicine team to organize GrandHack 2015, one of the largest health hackathons in the world held at MIT Media Lab.

Spent the first phase with the engineering team in Kochi, Kerala (India) to understand and propose improvements in the existing software development and testing workflows that were practiced in the company. Second phase of the internship was in Boston, MA (USA) working with the management team and partners on new strategies and innovation techniques in the space of GIS that could spur business expansion. Detailed summary of my work:• Formed a Research and Development team within the organization - designed the architecture, strategy and portfolio for the same along with the CEO and CTO of the company• Created a process improvement plan for the engineering division in accordance with CMMI standards• Leveraged existing project management softwares, introduced new tools and workflows to improve the Software Development Life Cycle• Introduced Version Control for database objects for the existing projects in the organization• Assisted in developing a data migration tool involving terabytes of data in the form of files and sql records• Developed a hybrid mobile/tablet application of a GIS-enabled decision support system for the CATV Industry to be used by the Field Technicians in the United States• Remotely coordinated with the engineering team (while in the US) to create and deploy improved workflows for software development and testing • Organized a 2-day hackathon involving 30+ employees focussing on standard practices in end-to-end product delivery

Served as the Technical Head of IEEE VIT Chapter from Sept'14 - Aug'14 and then as an Ambassador of IEEE Computer Society from Aug'14 - June'15. My responsibilities as Ambassador included:• Expose young minds from the local community to the singular benefits of IEEE CS by promoting its value-additive quotient• Facilitate information sharing at a larger level, establish contact between existing leaderships and societies to benefit mutually from the exchange• Encourage and simulate promotional campaigns that portray IEEE CS as a viable plus-point in the technical development of an individualDuring my tenure at IEEE, I was involved in various initiatives:• Organised Makeathon’14, a Build for a Change initiative that involved mentors from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Sana Group. It was the first round the clock hackathon at VIT• Lead the team in developing Open Projects, an Online Project Management System for the University• Organised Converge’14, a 3-day technical meet for engineering students involving sessions and workshops• Initiated Techloop, a self-sustaining system for technical workshops taken by students (Hosted 13+ sessions)

Creation Labs is a maker space where students and faculty are encouraged to come together to design and innovate in every possible field. A place where everyone is emboldened to be creative, think out of the box and bring out the best in themselves. As a founding member, worked with the Vice Chancellor of VIT University, right from the process of ideation to the establishment of the lab along with the other founding members. Raised INR 1 crore (~130K USD) from the university management for setting up and first year of operations. Apart from the research projects, my responsibilities included: • Formulate a structure for the functioning of the lab• Scrutinize applications and aid in the process of selecting new students• Mentor teams and manage projects primarily pertaining to the field of Computer Science• Plan and coordinate various events of the labSome of my major accomplishments through the lab have been:• Enabled the expansion from a 7 member team to 40+ member group with over 12 active projects in the lab in one year• Organised #WeHack'15 - an Internet of Things Hackathon • Coordinated Prototype'14, a 30 hour Hackathon in collaboration with Honeywell• Organised #WeHack'14 - India’s first Wearables Hackathon• Coordinated HISE (Honeywell Initiative for Science & Engineering) - Nobel Laureate Program (Prof Claude Cohen Tannoudji) at VIT University• Secured 2nd Position at GrandHack 2014 (Telemedicine) organised by MIT Hacking Medicine at MIT Media Labs, Boston• Secured 2nd Position at BigData Hack organised by Indix, Chennai• Mentored and Participated in several other Hackathons at locations such as Bangalore, Kolkata, etc.

Worked on Multi-Device Hybrid Application for Visual Studio - built tools to integrate multiple web and mobile (Android, iOS, Windows Phone) frameworks. Key achievements: • Achieved 100% code reusability across all mobile platforms in the business layer of the application• Published an internal white paper - identified 8 new gaps in the development and testing frameworks of the application
