A few years before Milos Forman's film 'Amadeus,' I was born in Diyarbakır, which I consider the most beautiful city in the world. After exploring various fields my journey in the world of film began with acting classes under Chick Vennera at The Renegade Theatre and Film Group in Hollywood in 2010. Following my passion, I pursued film directing at the University of California, Los Angeles-Extension, and earned a film editing certificate from the same institution. I served as an academic at Ege University in Turkey for 17 years, teaching independent filmmaking, film dramaturgy, and various other courses at the undergraduate level. Holding a PhD and Post-Doctoral degrees in ethics in sports, I was a visiting scholar at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in 2008-2009 (PhD), California State University Los Angeles in 2010-2011 (PhD), and again at California State University Los Angeles in 2015-2016 (Post-Doc). As a director, my portfolio includes two short films, "The Beginner's Luck" (2018) and "Trapped" (2019), with my first feature screenplay currently in preproduction. In 2023, I had the honor of serving as a festival jury member of FIPRESCI, International Federation of Film Critics, at the 10th Duhok Int. Film Festival. Since 2022, I have been calling Berlin home, where I continue to draw inspiration for my upcoming projects.
