Hi! My name is Saidah Wilson Poinsette and I am an acrobatics, tumbling and artistic gymnastics coach. I have trained, competed and performed gymnastics, partner acrobatics, aerial arts, and tumbling.I have been coaching and working with organizations to start, build and improve their gymnastics and gymnastics-related programs for over ten years. I have worked with city and county community centers, YMCA’s, private gymnastics clubs, cheer squads, dance studios, circus arts programs and individual athletes and performers. I work with entrepreneurs, coaches, owners, coordinators, parents and athletes to make gymnastics and acrobatics a great experience for everyone; the athletes out training the cartwheels and the administrators who pay for the mats. Outside of teaching, I have extensive experience in all aspects of of an activity center. I have managed and staffed events like parties, field trips, fundraisers, parents-night-out, performances, shows, etc. I’ve also mentored new coaches, created preschool and rec curriculum and developed new programs like rec-op and acro gymnastics teams.Currently, I work with dancers, acrobats and gymnasts of all ages, to broaden their skills and sustainability in all areas of ground-based movement; tumbling, partnering, flexibility, balance and more.
