Utilizing advances in silicon photonics, we are bringing next generation of LIDARs delivering high performance at low costs for self-driving cars, robots,drones and remote sensing. We envision safer and smarter roads and factory floors enabled by our technology.

Optical Design and Metrology• Explored design frameworks for novel optical devices using metasurface platform resulting in multiple publication in high impact factor journals.• Demonstrated broadband chromatic aberration correction for metasurface based lenses.• Designed various single-layer and multi-element metasurfaces for imaging applications.• Implemented multiple optical setups for characterizing freespace and integrated photonics devices.• Developed materials and nanofabrication processes for fabricating highly efficient dielectric metasurfaces for the visible and near-infrared optical frequencies.Computational• Implemented computational electromagnetics solvers such as Finite Difference Frequency domain and Rigorous Coupled Wave Analysis.• Developed sequential and non-sequential raytracing code for optimizing multi-element metasurface optical systems.

Taught a course titled “Fabrication of Classical and Quantum Computing Devices” for six semesters to high school students targeted towards encouraging students to join STEM fields.

Conducted recitation classes and held office hours for “Applied Electromagnetics” and “Thermodynamics, Kinetic Theory and Statistical Mechanics”.
