Saj began his career in the Philippines back in 2000. He worked as a cadet engineer for 2 years with multinational engineering firms. In 2002, still working as an engineer, he setup his own Food Cart Retailing business in front of his Grandfather’s building, adjacent to a lotto store. He targeted commuters and lotto betters. To further build his business knowledge, he decided to take further studies in business. While in business school, he forged a partnership with a classmate with a vision to expand the food cart business. They ventured into an Entrepreneurial Management Research Report (aka Thesis). RapSaKalye Foods was born in 2004. Within 2 years, they had 7 total branches. After 1 year with RapSaKalye, Saj was hired as a General Manager of Binalot Fiesta Foods. From there, he was able to effectively lead the company to success. In the 1 year that he served the company, he was able to increase the number of branches from 16 to 25 by franchising. Saj left for the United States in 2006. He left the food business to his partner and the lotto business to his mom. Saj worked as a Civil/Structural engineer for N-Y Associates in New Orleans. There he was part of the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the city. After one year, he was recruited by AIMS Group Inc. as their Civil/Structural Engineer to help them with design calculations of several levees and civil design projects. In 2013, Saj moved back to the Philippines to continue with his career in Engineering. He worked for EEI Corporation as the EPC Projects Design Coordinator. Saj is back in the US and is currently working as a Project Engineer for Hanson, Walter & Associates, Inc. After a summer move from Orlando to Charlotte, Saj is now working with BGE Inc.Saj earned his Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of the Philippines. He earned his Master in Business Administration at the Asian Institute of Management. He earned his Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Florida.
