I am the Electrical Lead/Senior Electrical Engineer in Plans Examination Branch of the City of Winnipeg. My duties include code interpretation, code development and enforcement besides giving technical leadership to the electrical plan examination team. Member of CSA CE Code Part 1 Committee and variously Part II standard technical committees besides regulatory sub committees. I have extensive experience managing teams and coordinating large and complex projects from concept design through to completion of construction. I have worked on numerous project types including commercial, educational, institutional, healthcare, transportation, recreational, residential, mission critical and light industrial. My international experience includes projects in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Canada.My design skills combined with technical expertise and rich experience has ensured on time and on budget delivery of each project with which I have been involved. I am dedicated and committed to ensure that every project achieve the highest standard of engineering excellence.I hold both B.Sc. Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering and Master of Business Administration Degree (MBA) from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka and also a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registered with the Professional Engineers Ontario, Engineers Geoscientists of Manitoba and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), Canada. I am also an Int. PE (Canada) / APEC Engineer and a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED® AP) and carry the certification from CaGBC.
