Engineering, Procurement and Construction Services for small Hydro Power Projects

Currently working as “Manager Engineering” in 41,000 TPY, 200 million US $, fiber glass Plant in Yanbu, KSA. I have successfully undertaken engineering design, procurement, and construction supervision of the plant with respect to all civil, mechanical and E/I activities, acquisition of utilizes (gas, water and electricity) from Saudi Aramco and Marafiq. • Drafting TOR’s for engineering design and production of drawings, specifications and documents.• Reviewing the design and drawings for completeness and accuracy.• Evaluates and approves changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project. • Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan. • Leading sales gas metering station, pipeline and remote telemetry project from DBSP through final close out including hot tap from Saudi Aramco in accordance with Aramco standards, requirements and regulations.• Leading utilities (water and power) acquisition works from Marafiq in timely manner.• Leading compliance efforts for Royal Commission environmental requirements and MOI security requirements and obtaining EPO and EPC.• Currently I am responsible to ensure availability and reliability of machinery and equipment by employing the best practices and strategies.

I was selected as Engineering Manager by S & A Abahsain Company for their upcoming Fiberglass project (100 million US $) in Bahrain in July 2006. I was responsible for conceptualizing, designing and implementation of MV Electrical Connection to the utility, LV Distribution system including but not limited to MV Switchgear, LV Switchgear, MV Transformers, associated cabling, earthing system, Instrumentation and Control including but not limited to Field instrument selection, control system ( Honeywell Experion PKS). I calculated the actual apparent power demand and established the philosophy of a fail safe electrical distribution system for the critical equipment, provided control philosophy for the critical loops. I was responsible for the selection of vendors for the electrical and instrumentation equipment, consultant for MV and LV Electrical Installation, and contractors. I worked out detailed scope of works, provided guidelines to the consultant and drafted contract agreements.

I joined Fibertech in April 2000 as In charge of Electrical and Instrumentation Section. Fibertech was producing 22 tons against the capacity of 30 tons/day. With my joining, I had decisive contribution in improving production to the rated capacity averaging 30 tons / day from the year 2000 on wards. I could do it by helping force synergy between management and workers, eliminating all the recurring engineering problems in winders, batch plant, furnace controls and electrical distribution system. I changed the maintenance philosophy from “More for More” to "Less for Less" which resulted in sizeable saving in the cost incurring on machine availability.

Worked as Assistant Manager DCS at Askari Cement Limited Nizampur. I was responsible for maintenance and up keeping of DCS – Bailay’s Infi 90 DCS. In addition to the maintenance of DCS, I was involved in insuring the availability and reliability of PLC’S/HMI’s of various brands, constant weigh feeders, variable speed drives (Simovert Siemens), field instruments and packers.
