I have a picture of me, about three years old, dismantling a mechanical clock. Trying to find out how it al worked together. For me analyzing data packets is the same thing.Finding patterns, finding the little bits that seem odd. Doing research on how things *should* work and then double checking if the discrepancies that were found are indeed responsible for the problems that are experienced. It is a lot like solving other kinds of puzzles like Sudokus, logigrams or escape-rooms.Slowly seeing things appear out of the mist and then being able to solve the puzzle gives me great satisfaction. Although it does have one down-side, the process of solving the puzzle stops.
