Big Data EngineerWalmart Oct 2023 - PresentBentonville, Arkansas, UsI worked here as a Senior Big Data Engineer and here our mainsource is Bigquery,GCS and mysql server as it contains data as per the downstream requirement, there are many steps involved in this as we get the like large amount of data(petabytes) from files(different formats like csv,parquet) sometimes or from bq or from mysql then we read this data and perform some spark transformations on dataproc cluster and again write into a file or table and load it into bq suppose we have some data in bq and someother in gcs or mysql we read data from both and join that two different tables or files and perform transformations in this process sometimes we are also generating some files and for the orchestration purpose we used airflow, when it comes to hive we used it just to maintain the data in local tables in dataproc cluster -
