About the app: TalkIt has an anonymous chatroom to talk to professionals and a Chatbot that acts as a friend. It extracts various data points from the chat, voice of user and image recognition to calculate a sentimental analysis score which is used to give a personalised wellness feed based on the user’s mood and emotion. Technologies – React Native, JQuery, Socket.io, Express, Firebase, various Google Cloud AI/ML/NLP API’s.Currently researching various user interactions and behaviours to incorporate appropriate responses in the bot. Goal: Make it a completely virtual friend using Voice Recognition and Voice Response for people who feel lonely, social anxiety or have non-clinical depression. Other possibilities: Make it an app for Google Home and Alexa Technologies.

Rewriting the Code (RTC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the next generation of college women with an interest in technology. Through programs such as mentorships, skill developments, company partnerships etc, RTC provides these resources as a way to empower future engineers and leaders.
