Engineer - Purchase
CurrentJob Responsibilities:Ordering and execution of bought out components.Floating enquiries and making comparison statements for management approval.Assessment of the supplier offers to find out whether it is inline to the project schedule and technical delivery conditions.Responsible for Planning of Ordering, Schedule of Execution, Close Co-ordination with Detail Engineering team for the timely release of indents and correctness.Calling up vendors for technical and commercial freeze out.Following up vendors for timely dispatch of pending orders to meet out the project Schedule.Verification of supplier’s inspection reports / test certificates and issue the dispatch clearance. Coordinating with transporters for shipping the materials from supplier end.Supplying the materials for appropriate projects by proper reservation. Manage multiple projects and priorities and ensure timely achievement of commitments. Coordinate conferences / events and meetings with vendors. Prepare presentations, Project Status Reports and Minutes of Meeting.Enhancing quality of inputs through Self- certified Vendors.Alternate vendor development for monopoly materials for both import and indigenous.Assessments, evaluation and development of new vendors through vendor visits.Finalization of annual rate contracts.
