Passionate in art and in the art of story telling. Art student for three years of high school alongside being in the M.E.Ch.A activist group. I am fighting for diversity in media and telling the stories of minorities. M.E.Cha was a beautiful experience and I decided to complete a Certificate at Ohlone College for Latinx/Chicanx studies. Currently, I work at Starbucks and I enjoy it a lot. I love speaking to the customers and their short stories they tell me while I'm helping them. I also enjoy seeing regulars and how joyful they are every time they come in. At Party City, I enjoyed the creative side of it the most, I loved making balloons and creating bouquets for the customers. The customers would always compliment how beautiful the arrangements were and making them was never a problem. At Michael's, I learned from other artists and they learned from me about what materials to use and how to use them. I never painted before, but at Michaels I connected with a customer and she explained to me on how to begin oil painting. Now I love oil painting and the same experience happened when I began crocheting.
