Geotechnical Engineering Technician
Current• Review plans and drawings provided by contractors • Submit proposals for geotechnical services – soil borings, test pits, resistivity testing, percolation rate, and asphalt/pavement evaluations • Coordinate, prepare, and conduct geotechnical field operations and Environmental Site Assessments (ESA Phase I)• Assign laboratory testing based on recovered samples• Evaluate and input field and lab data – gINT, Excel, ArcGIS, and company database• Analyze field and lab results and translate data into a geotechnical report• Review adopted IBC codes, seismic considerations, and historical information for proposed project area• Draft geotechnical/soil reports with findings and recommendations for clients - foundation, pavement, earthwork, etc. • Answer field/laboratory questions for technicians and contractors
