The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is developing a resource that identifies diverse artists and artworks typically underrepresented in arts programs. We are planning to outline principles and strategies for using these examples in ways that are responsive to the diverse student population in Massachusetts. The resource will emphasize the in-depth teaching of at least 8 examples of diverse artists and artworks across different grades and subjects prominently featuring the pedagogical approaches. Responsibilities for Guidebook Committee Members will include:● Independently research and collect information about potential artists/artworks for the guidebook● Independently review collected information from other committee members● Collaboratively engage in the vetting of what should be included in the guidebook● Independently write various components of the guidebook● Provide guidance and contribute to the publication of the guidebook● Ensure that the published guidebook is responsive in its inclusion of artists/artworks within educationalsettings

Advise: Working closely with DESE, Ambassadors will provide feedback on the content of the professionaldevelopment series and generate a plan for leading implementation in their regions. Ambassadors may chooseto tailor the professional development series to best address the needs of their regions.• Plan: Ambassadors will convene in regional teams to plan implementation of the professional developmentseries in their regions.• Implement: Ambassadors will lead the implementation of the professional development series for educators intheir regions.• Update: Ambassadors will attend periodic meetings and communicate with DESE staff regularly to provideupdates, receive support, and contribute to the development of additional instructional resources, includingtools for engaging English learners in the arts.

-Responsible for day to day operations of programming for 30-45 students-Developed and implemented daily lesson plans for recreational and enrichment STEM activities.-Created,planned and taught 130 Visual arts and STEM activities in 2014.-Behavior management for students with behavioral issues.-Organized program events for parents, teachers and community members.

-Created mock-ups of new products and designs for production-Produced graphic designs for e-commerce-Deep familiarity with creative software packages including Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Ragnarok Watches has been around since March 2010. Originally, my concept was to have a street wear company that designed t-shirts,watches and accessories. After a couple of attempts at building all three parts I decided to scale down and concentrate our focus on creating watches. In the summer of 2010 we had our first major launch at The Concrete Jungle Boston. The Concrete Jungle was a pop up shop located on Newbury street right in the heat of the city. The shop gave us a lot of exposure and was a great crash course in making better products and getting them into stores faster.One of my major accomplishments with Ragrok watches was launching a successful Kickstarter to raise $3230. This project was a great learning experience and helped me launch a new collaborative product design.

-Followed and executed daily lesson plans for classes ranging from 13-19 students.-Created a fun learning environment to motivate students.-Meeting with parents, guardians and school staff to discuss observations on children with particular issues.

-Web graphics and basic animation for BIY website -Coordinating and planning workshops for teaching Photoshop,Scratch and Powerpoint-Video editing using Adobe creative suite
