Develop the strategy to achieve annual circulation targets as well as to produce, develop and manage the database and the products that are respected for reach within the markets they serve. Responsible for the Global circulation strategies and roadmaps for the print and online business and full management of the database The role also includes the following:• Ensure successful circulation strategies and tactics are employed• Achieve strategic and operational objectives by a proactive and hands on approach to the development of the business database through retaining and developing new contacts,• Ensuring all data and the use of data is DPA compliant • Provide bespoke analysis reports and statistics for all departments with an understanding of all datasets used• Industry audits are completed successfully• Maximise the company’s profitability by reducing the postage and associated costs• Attend regular service provider and internal meetings

Ensure all client accounts are serviced in accordance to the contractual obligationsResponsible for Account Manager and Account Executive - overseeing workloads to ensure optimum performance at the highest levelTimely completion of monthly invoicing and financial reporting for clientsAssist Account Manager/Executive with bespoke analysis/statisticsProject management of list building, data cleaning, de-duplication and loading of new dataPromote new services/initiatives to the clientsAttend regular client and internal meetings covering strategic issues/promotions/ developmentsLeadership and coaching where required to the team

Ensuring the timely production of label runsLiaising with the client to ensure the content of the label run is to their requirement, making necessary changes where relevant and ensuring all inserts are included in the issueABC/BPA auditingSupplying distribution reports to mailing house and client for each issueAdhoc counts and requests including data analysis to advertising staff for promoting the quality of the circulation and assisting to their sales effortsLiaising with clients accounts dept for all print and distribution invoices required for auditMonthly update meeting with clients and Account DirectorSupport customer service where necessaryUpdating all internal systems with relevant projectsMonitor and action duplication levelsKeeping up to date with clients titles and services and updating all Optima staff of any relevant client information/changesAssisting clients at all times where necessary

Ensuring the timely production of label runsPlanning and executing campaigns using direct mail, email and telemarketing to generate the optimum controlled circulations with the highest quality demographics and readers registered within agreed periodUsing marketing plans to monitor and report the cost of the campaigns ensuring costs do not exceed budgetsProviding data analysis to advertising staff for promoting the quality of the circulation and assisting to their sales effortsImplement all aspects of the ABC/BPA audit process ensuring audit targets are achievedLiaise with accounts to ensure the correct filing of print and distribution invoices for audit purposeManage relationships with fulfilment and list rental partnersProvide support by coordinating the campaigns set up by the marketing team from a database point of view (list loads, selections, deletions)

Label selections and split run insertsCompiling and filing ABC audit returns with a full understanding of proceduresProvide ad-hoc analysis/reports for Advertising and Subs MarketingEnsuring the database is of the highest quality possibleAssisting the Head of Circulation in managing the circulation bureauSet up systems both internally and externally to cope with new launches

Responsible for monitoring classified and display advertising for Haymarket titles and the competitorsProducing weekly and monthly reports showing market sectors and market sharesProducing monthly Board reports for all Board membersAdvertising and recruiting for new staffProduce ad-hoc reports for sales teamsSupervision of 5 staff
