Being Head of Underwriting Division, handle proposals received from clients for all types of insurance covers i.e. Fire and Allied perils, Terrorism, Business Interruption, Marine Cargo import/export/in-land transit, Marine Hull, Private and Commercial Motor, C.A.R., E.A.R, Electronic Equipments, Machinery breakdown, Boiler explosion, Health, Bankers Blanket, and Miscellaneous insurance business. Evaluate information provided & arrange risk inspection. Have discussions with clients regarding measures for risk improvement and compliance with recommendations/warranties in order to prevent or mitigate the probable risk. Quote premium rates and underwrite the risk.Arrange co-insurance.Visit clients.Have correspondence on day-to-day business matters.Prepare periodical reports relating to Premium income, outstanding premium, commission and comparison with the periodical target budget Estimates. Supervise the over all Underwriting activity ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.

During my service spreading over a period of more than 30 years in NICL and posting at HO and other Zonal Offices.
