Completed 10 week rotation as in house Assembly and Weld Quality Inspector. Checked welds for porosity, undercut, slag inclusion, proper penetration for open root welds, discoloration on chill rings for butt welds, and gap distances for socket welds. Checked assembly for proper materials, flow direction, and build-ability. Led new welder training and orientation and trained the next rotation weld inspector. Calculated room heat load and Material and Energy balance for each project using knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer. Created Process Flows and P&IDs using 2D AutoCad. Modeled prefabricated piping for hanging evaporators and mechanical rooms, dispersion tanks, and a hygienic air handler using 3D AutoCad.Conducted Mechanical Integrity and Non-destructive Pipe Testing Inspections for three facilities with industrial ammonia refrigeration. Identified safety and code violations within each facility. Conducted vibration analysis for compressors at operating ammonia refrigerated facilities.

Facilitated the building of 32 Go Karts and 13 Mystery Escape Rooms by students, grades 5th through 8th, in order to teach basic engineering concepts such as circuitry, pressure, friction, magnetism, and torque. Taught the engineering design process in conjunction with student projects in order to demonstrate the benefits of systematic strategic planning while designing a product

Taught programming logic, technical vocabulary, and engineering principals to first through eighth grade students through the use of Ozobots, Finches, BombiniBots, Sphero, Mindstorms, Vex, and FRC robots. Mentored local VEX Robotics team through introducing technical problems, facilitating brainstorm sessions, encouraging reevaluation of project parameters, and ultimately providing insight to questions that arose during design and prototyping.
