Reporting directly to the MD of this specialist gold coin/bullion trading firm, my responsibilities include: - Leading the operational team and overseeing performance in line with organisational objectives - Managing complex accounting processes incl. P&L reporting, accounts payable and receivable - Logistic/shipment management incl. performing reconciliations and collating relevant reports - Forging mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers and traders to optimise positive outcomes - Sourcing and exporting gold bullions from global suppliers and gold refineries - Designing a comprehensive procurement process to maximise operational success

Starting as accounts assistant, moving into office management and ultimately the Operations Manager of this London commodity trader with its own fleet of vessels/shipping, my responsibilities included: - Managing/supervising a small team of operational and office management executives - Ensuring the delivery of efficient operational processes relating to sourcing and shipment - Overseeing the accurate management and documentation of shipping, chartering, insurance and HR details, preparing and scheduling financial commitments and supervising boat boarding - Daily liaison with contractual counterparties, banks, in-house trading staff, and Operations Department colleagues both in London and overseas - Preparing and processing of shipping documents incl. Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, Phytosanitary, Health, Radioactivity and, Weight and Quality Certificates - Negotiating Documents for payment basis CAD, Bank Documentary Collection and Documentary Letters of Credit - Processing purchase/peripheral services invoices and raising sales invoices on IT system - Managing sales counterparty payment progress - Arranging insurance cover of shipments - Ensuring nominations are executed correctly and within a timely manner - Reviewing/updating cost provisions, accurate, complete, consistent and timely data capture - Contract discrepancy resolution, liaising with traders/clients to resolve disagreement - Managing contract filing systems with equal distribution of work amongst team - Writing, checking and issuing trade confirmations, contracts and related documentation incl. tenders, vessel nominations, documentary instructions and declarations - Ensuring relevant documents for further certification by the Chamber of Commerce and further legalisation with the embassy in a timely manner - Full responsibility for the selection and recruitment of personnel for a newly opened office
