My All Duties & Responsibilities >> Administer all accident/incident reporting; co-ordinate Disability Claims Management;and review and verify all accident investigation reports for completeness and accuracy ina timely manner.>> Conduct and/or participate in accident investigation. Co-ordinate and conduct sectionalhealth and safety audits. Perform assessments in accordance with established procedures. Inspect the physical aspects of terminal operations and office locations. Monitor safe working practices on an ongoing basis to ensure a high standard of excellence. Recommend corrective action related to hazardous conditions to the appropriate sources.>> Provide and maintain statistical data, reports and analysis of accident/incident trends to operations in support of accident reduction goals and continuous improvement of workplace heath & safety.>> Respond to inquiries and requests for information in an appropriate manner. Maintain accurate records.>> Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity at all times.>> Development and continuous improvement of Company safety policies, procedures andpractices to ensure compliance with applicable Acts, regulations and industry leadingsafety practices.>> Monitor new and revised health and safety legislation to remain current with latestrequirements. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning and development; e.g.,membership and active participation in Canadian Society of Safety Engineers.>> Maintain safety and security manuals, reviewing and updating annually to ensurecompliance.>> Co-ordinate Health & Safety Committee activities, ensuring regular meetings andinspections are taking place, follow up action is being taken, and that requiredmembership and certification requirements are met.>> Attend other meetings as required; e.g., BCMEA monthly meetings, CSSE monthlymeetings.>> Deliver, co-ordinate and track health & safety related training such as WHMIS, safetyorientation, etc.>> Maintain filing and database systems related to confidential records, correspondencefiles, reports, worker’s compensation claims, etc.>> Prepare routine correspondence, reports, memorandums, minutes, and related material. >>Communicate/liaise with all departments and employees/unionized labour.>> Other duties as required.
