Co-edited (with Shilpa Gupta) "For, In Your Tongue, I Cannot Fit: Encounters with Prison" (Context, 2022). Salil's writings and poetry have been anthologised in several volumes and he has contributed to academic journals. He is board member, PEN International, and contributing editor at Index on Censorship, Singapore Unbound, and the Caravan magazine.
