A senior technology marketing leader who combines extensive expertise across content, product, demand, and field marketing with strong commercial relationship skills, and a proven ability to turn ideas into impactful programs that advance business goals. With 20+ years' experience, I have led the successful delivery of a wide range of initiatives from market-leading research projects, innovative commercial partnerships, and global content programs. The common theme uniting my current work is evolving cybersecurity into a powerful business enabler. Here’s what that looks like in practice. I deliver industry-recognized, research-based insights that enable companies and public bodies to optimize their cybersecurity strategy and financial investments. Perhaps the best-known example is Sophos’ annual State of Ransomware report, findings from which are regularly cited by leading publications and analysts around the globe, including Gartner, the BBC, the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal, as well as universities and government bodies. I run the program end-to-end, from commissioning the research, to analysing and interpreting the findings, and writing the final papers. I also lead Sophos’ innovative cyber insurance partnership program that makes it easier for organizations to take a holistic approach to cyber risk reduction and, in turn, lower their overall cybersecurity TCO. Using a collaborative, outcome-focused approach, I work with partners to deliver ground-breaking initiatives, including the first flat rate no-attestation insurance program in the U.S. (with Cysurance), and the first public partnership between a cybersecurity provider and a cyber insurer in the UK (with Cowbell). My third current area of focus is content strategy and creation. For a number of years, I have headed the team that creates Sophos’ core issue- and solution-led content designed to help organizations optimize the efficacy, impact, and RoI of their cybersecurity programs. Working closely with the Product Marketing group, outputs include educational resources, business impact reports, and practical solution guides.
