Responsible for skills initiatives across the following areas of activity:• Leading the bid to deliver Skills Bootcamps in Oxfordshire, to the value of £1.7m.• Identifying the strategic skills and labour priorities through co-authorship of the Oxfordshire Local Skills Report and Plan for the DfE: https://www.oxfordshirelep.com/skills/our-approach and the Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs).• Led the creation of the COMF £1.7m 'Social Contract' bid, overseeing programme delivery and outputs to benefit those most impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic, which unlocking £3.2m of unused Apprenticeship Levy, providing SOFEA Food Larder customers with skills and employability support and removing digital disadvantage through free digital devices and travel bursaries, led the development of OxGrow a virtual mentoring platform for 18+ jobseekers/career changers. • Supporting investment into the local skills landscape to benefit identified skills need and labour market gaps• Oversees the delivery of the Careers and Enterprise Company (CEC) activity to 58 schools and colleges in order to establish greater links between education providers and businesses in Oxfordshire. • Responsible for promoting the value of Apprenticeships and vocational training, through the delivery of the annual Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Awards and Apprentice Ambassador programme.• Oversees the regional support of Community Engagement Plans (CEP's) on large infrastructure projects with construction companies.
