Working freelance has encouraged me to keep pushing and striving to be the best I can.I have assisted makeup artists that I have admired and was Gina Kane's (Caren Agency) first assistant for three years. I also assisted Terry Barber and Bea Sweet.I have worked on fashion shows for Burberry Prorsum, Belstaff, Daks, John Smedley and Xander Zhou.Assisting has helped me realise the importance of being discrete, professional and mature when working with high profile clients and celebrities.I have always enjoyed working in makeup and love learning about new products coming out and in turn passing that knowledge onto my clients. Teaching the application of makeup is something I also really love and giving that person the confidence to create signature looks themselves is what makes me happy as I can see the satisfaction they get knowing they can carry out the application themselves.

Working for Mac cosmetics allowed me to improve my makeup skills and with their constant training helped me to widen my knowledge on products, how to use them, where to use them and understanding that you can have many uses for each item.Working in a team meant that we had consistent support from each member of staff. As a makeup artist for Mac cosmetics I was able to work individually as well as in a team. I was able to always focus on the customer at hand and provide support, answer their questions and teach them how to apply makeup and create the looks they were after.My main focus was making sure the customer left the store happy with their purchase and happy with the service they had received. I made sure I as always knowledgeable on the products we sold as well as making sure I was kept up to date with all the new up and coming makeup that would launch on the future.I always made sure I reached sales targets - individually and for the counter by product linking.
