    Everyday duties included sharing the telephone calls received and taking payments and solving queries at the customer counter. I started in the life insurance department dealing with the administration supporting the financial advisors and checking they are up to date with their accounts and administration. I then moved to the cash department where I was responsible for the twice daily balancing of the cashbook, organising and preparing for a monthly balance of every income and expenditure in the entire district. This had to be completed to specifications set by an administration compliance officer who carried out regular checks on the office. Also as part of the cash department there was the upkeep of the sick records and holidays, ordering stationary and the counting of the weekly wages. During my employment I passed an exam set by the general insurance standards council, which allowed me to advise and sell general insurances by CIS such as motor and home insurance. I also passed internal exams on the prevention of money laundering, and an introducer exam to enable me to make appointments for financial advisors with their clients. I also volunteered for invigilating national exams for the Financial Planning Certificate with an outside examinations board.
