As a Principal Consultant at DSC (Disability Services Consulting), I specialise in values-driven NDIS-funded services. My career shift from corporate finance to the disability services sector coincided with the launch of the NDIS trial site in Newcastle, NSW. This transition was driven by a deep commitment to improving the quality of lives for people with disability and their families, inspired by my personal experiences with my daughter Nicky.Over the years, I have engaged with a variety of grassroots organisations to promote and uphold the rights of people with disability, including the NSW Disability Council, CDAH (Community Disability Alliance Hunter), the Centre for Universal Design, and Hunter Circles. With extensive experience in the field, I focus on supporting people with profound intellectual disabilities and complex communication support needs. My goal is to help them build lives rich in belonging, connection, purpose, and love, while ensuring they take their rightful place as valuable members of community. In addition to my professional experience, I hold an MBA, I am a Certified Practicing Marketer and am currently pursuing a Master's in Disability and Inclusion, with the aim of achieving a PhD. My academic and professional pursuits are dedicated to contributing to the knowledge that shapes the quality of support for people with profound intellectual disability and their families.
