The Crisis Services Network includes 24/7 statewide responses in homelessness, family violence, primary health and harm reduction services and youth services. Research and Program Development operates across these four practice areas to develop consistent practice and policy frameworks, implement staff capacity building and training; develop and oversee research partnerships, program evaluation and continuous quality improvement; and accreditation.I was part of the leadership team that aligned research activity with the organisation’s strategic goals. A key aspect is to build effective relationships with universities and research bodies and develop a learning culture across the network.• Led and managed the collaborative research and advocacy activity across the Crisis Services Network. This includes managing research partnerships and overseeing major long-term research projects.• Facilitated the Network’s student placement program. This involves managing and supporting 8-10 staff and 8-10 students per year.• Managed the quality systems and accreditation process for Crisis Services. This includes direct management and support of the Standards and Quality Coordinator.• Developed a learning culture by planning and managing the delivery of relevant training for 100 staff.

Crisis Services is the 24-hour Statewide Crisis Contact Centre in St Kilda - a high volume crisis service that provides over 20,000 contacts per year, to people who are disadvantaged in community.I managed 20 staff (including recruitment, training, supervision and performance management) and partner agencies to provide an accessible and integrated response. • Monitored the service budget of $1.8m to ensure responsible and accountable distribution of resources.• Supervised social work and other research students on placement at the Crisis Centre.• Liaised with relevant agencies to develop and manage interagency protocols.
