- Ensure that hotel controls and accounting procedures are implemented in line with company standard.- Train and develop Hotel finance staff, to ensure they are able to competently carry out their responsibilities inc cost control through the use of a manual commitment sheet, daily revenue control and banking reconciliation.- Preparation of Monthly Management accounts for 5 hotels (+900 bedrooms) to be submitted to Finance director by 5th working day of the month.- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation which includes weekly bank reconciliation for each property.- Validate integrity of property forecasts for current month and take corrective action where required. Also to understand reasons behind the numbers and action plans in place to improve.- Analysis of month end KPI's for reporting to Finance Director to then develop action plans to deliver change.- Complete of quarterly VAT Return for 18 Hotels.- Inter-company transfers and monthly reconciliation of inter-company accounts for 25 properties.- Provide financial information to support the Finance Director in decision making.- Preparation of Centralised Payrolls and review of non-centralised, liaising with the payroll bureau to ensure all submissions promptly received.
