I am a Registered Nurse working in the field of clinical informatics. As a change manager on the eMR CONNECT project I have worked with a cohesive team to roll out electronic clinical documentation to NSLHD/CCLHD following which we have just started to implement the second phase of this journey eMeds. We have just successfully implemented eMeds into Ryde hospital with CCLHD, Royal North Shore and Hornsby hospitals to follow in 2018.I have been working in the field of clinical informatics since the eMR inception here within these LHD’s. Our patients are central to everything we do and my goal is for all clinicians to see the value of one central eMR so that relevant information around our patients follow them, to provide safer and better care.I would love to see nursing and midwifery informatics further embraced by my peers and used to further enhance patient care.I am excited to see this slowly happening.
