I proofread a variety of texts that had been translated from Japanese to English, including marketing texts and technical texts.

While working as a copywriter and translator for Tokyo Otaku Mode, my duties included: writing mail magazines and product descriptions, working on search engine optimisation, making creative translations of press releases, and translating Harlequin romance manga.

I translated articles from Japanese to English for Japanize!, a website providing information for visitors to Japan.

I had full responsibility for every aspect of this project for a private client. I transcribed and then translated Japanese videos and then used my transcription and translation to create Japanese and English subtitles.

I translated Harlequin romantic manga from Japanese to English. I had to be creative with my translations to ensure that they fitted in the limited space available while remaining engaging for the reader and properly conveying the story.
