Lead negotiator on Trade Union engagement and consultation. Managed HR team that was also responsible for Equality and Diversity, employee policy, resourcing and workforce planning.

Spent time in Bangladesh, visiting key development Aid projects and liaising with UN agencies and contracted organisations to assess the effectiveness of Aid interventions. As HM Revenue and HM Customs merged, this resulted in a significant review of their workforce and estate. With multi offices in every major town and city, the programme I was responsible for, sought to assess which offices could / should close and progress towards closure. Extensive stakeholder management was required with this major change initiative, with local customers, employees, the trade unions and Ministers all having a view. The programme delivered successfully with significant workforce change undertaken and efficiencies delivered: office closures are still ongoing.
